For some time same copies of previously uploaded subs are uploaded once again on site, just to add own credits, commercial, external links etc
I flagged such subs many times but no reply or action.
Is there really some point in allowing such things?

No point as the mods don't really care or they're swamped with other things to do. It's how the subs in Subscene are, people steal from one another because subtitle isn't really someone's property anyway.
