Delete \ Replace List
It in the settings
You can set your own list so you can delete or replace content based on your conditions before translation

Example: the second Action says
Delete line or subtitle part if contains “music sign”
So if the file is normal plain text file then any line having this sign will be deleted
If it’s a subtitle file, the part will be deleted (text and timing)
Srt file example look at the following file

If the feature is switched on and you translate to Japanese language the result comes like

All subtitle parts having the music sign are deleted

Replacing content works the same way but no delete it’s good to be used for offensive words to be replaced before translation
Example:- Fuck --> F^^k shit --> s^^t
And so on
Also a good idea to replace a word or sentence that represent an expression to your language in a way that makes the translation comes meaning less
Example in English language: -
“Cry me a river” will be translated literally as its written therefore the meaning will be different
If you replace
Cry me a river --> you grumble a lot
Then it will be meaningful in translation

You can add or remove actions in the list

Removing action by long press on it then confirm the delete

Also you can share the list to outside apps like email WhatsApp etc... it’s kind of a backup to your list or sharing with friend

In addition to that, Delete \ Replace List can be used on any supported file you have if don’t want to translate. Just open a file then the view icon will appear next to it so you see the file like this

If the feature is switched on the menu button will be at the top with option of “delete and replace content” and “save as new file”

delete and replace

then save as a new file

Note: the app will not edit or change your original file you just have the option to save as new file

Hi everybody
A new features added to the latest version of the app you may find it useful especially who’s working on subtitles

Keep selected file
The older releases clear the file after translating so you have to select another one or the same again.
The reason I was clearing the file after translating is that some users not familiar using the app and hit the translate button again expecting something else is going to happen
Therefore, I put the option keep select file” in the app settings and it’s off by default
A good practice to this one: -
If you have a file and want to translate to multiple language just pick the file, then choose the language, translate. The app going to process the file before translating. Once it’s done you can choose another language and the app will translate skipping the process because it’s already done

One line sentence
This option can be found in the app settings. if it’s switched on the app going to remove unnecessary new lines in subtitle parts such as srt file or any other supported file
Example
00:01:31,751 --> 00:01:34,319
Extinction revelers
lost the war today.

This subtitle part is detected as unnecessary new line because there is no line separator such as but not limited to comma or full stop after the word revelers”
Therefore, the new line will be removed before the translation and it’s going to be as follow
00:01:31,751 --> 00:01:34,319
Extinction revelers lost the war today.

Another example
00:03:13,019 --> 00:03:15,755
Danger.
Evacuate utility tunnel.

This part will be left as it’s because a full stop after the word Danger”
Note: the original file will not be modified. If you want to delete the new lines without translating you can open the file and delete and replace content” then save as a new file. Refer to my last post

Bug fix
Some files downloaded from subtitles site having hidden null character and the app cant’s read those kind of files.
It’s fixed now and the credit goes to my friend Megan she is working on translating movies and reported this bug to me

Have a nice day
